We&#8217;re looking for WordPress enthusiasts who want to inspire and inform other WordPress enthusiants on all things <strong>WordPress<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>At WordCamp Kent, our attendees include <strong>designers, developers, marketers, business owners, bloggers, and content strategists<\/strong> who all come together to learn, connect and have a great time.<\/p>\n<p>Sessions will be 45 minutes, with 25-30 minutes allotted for your talk and 15 &#8211; 20 minutes for Q &amp; A and further discussion.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline to submit your application is <strong>11 PM EDT on Sunday, April 15th, 2018<\/strong>. You will be notified when a decision about your submission is made, no later than April 30th.<\/p>\n<h3>General guidelines for speakers:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019 re looking for talks that are relevant to casual WordPress users, experienced developers, and anywhere between.<\/li>\n<li>We always on the lookout for new speakers of <strong>ALL ages and backgrounds<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You do not need to be a professional speaker, but you should be knowledgeable about the topic you are presenting.<\/li>\n<li>You are <strong>encouraged to apply even if you have never spoken at a WordCamp before<\/strong>. If you need some inspiration, take a look at some of the great talks published on <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordPress TV<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>All submissions are reviewed by the organizer committee. Be prepared to submit your speaker slides or review your presentation with an organizer prior to the event if asked.<\/li>\n<li>Speakers will be provided <strong>free admission to WordCamp Kent 2018<\/strong> and also get to attend a speaker dinner, but we cannot reimburse travel, lodging, or other expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>General Topics<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>WordPress Fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>Blogging and Content Creation<\/li>\n<li>Design and User Experience<\/li>\n<li>Backend Development<\/li>\n<li>Workflows<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and Branding<\/li>\n<li>Running a WordPress Based Business<\/li>\n<li>Themes<\/li>\n<li>Plugins<\/li>\n<li>Security<\/li>\n<li>Digital marketing &amp;\u00a0growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KNOW SOMEONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO HEAR SPEAK ?<\/strong> If you know a person who is a great speaker, or maybe a new speaker with tons of knowledge to share, and would like to nominate them to speak, get in touch via our <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.kent.wordcamp.org\/contact\/\">Contact Form<\/a> and let us know who it is, where they are located, and what it is they speak about, as well as a way for us to get in touch.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to propose multiple topics, please submit the form multiple times, once for each topic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our call for speakers is now closed.
