WordCamp Kent will be happening this year on June 15th-16th<\/strong> at the Kent State University Hotel & Conference Center.<\/p>\n

Last year, our sessions ranged from blogging\/content writing, web design, development, and freelance<\/a>, to project management, SEO, and business tips. We even had a Community and Mental Health track<\/a>! Each year, we dedicate a track to for WordPress 101<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

Who You Are Supporting<\/strong><\/p>\n

WordCamp Kent is organized by members of the Northeast Ohio WordPress Meetup group<\/a>. Our community<\/span> has a great mix of technical and non-technical individuals. We have a lot of Meetup attendees that run their business on WordPress or make money setting up and managing WordPress sites for clients. Our Meetup group has traveled to a handful of Northeast Ohio cities and is a great platform for new speakers. We’re a laid-back and supportive group that meets twice a month near the Cleveland and Akron areas.<\/p>\n

In 2018, our community was featured at WordCamp US<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to keep a safe and welcoming environment, we require all speakers, sponsors, and attendees to follow our Code of Conduct<\/a>. Sponsors must comply with WordCamp Central guidelines for promotional materials, use of the WordPress name and trademark, etc. Those guidelines are available in the community handbook<\/a> and a pdf copy will be sent along with the sponsor agreement (after acceptance and before payment).<\/p>\n
